BARBIE LOVES MAC MAKE UP APPLICATION

Yesssuh! My fav make up application!

Hi you awesome people. This is the 3rd look on the previous photo shoot I had. I'm sure you make up suckers are pretty familiar with this look. Yes it's Barbie Loves MAC. I love this look because it looks so good and girly very real life Barbish (don't know if I spelled that right). I did the one on the left (first pic) with the green and the pink, did it on Aldis's face; she has a beautiful face with a strong cheek bone. She has a small eyelid so it wasn't an easy job to get the green going without doing it too much, cos I didn't want to contour or make her eye looks bigger by making a fake lid; she has a pretty asian eyes.
I know there's not much of a green popping out. First of, like I said, her eyes are small and got depth, so even if I made a fake lid, it will still be a no go. Second of all, I used NYX Beauty To Go Palette, as usual, for all the colors in her face, it's responsible for the eye shadow, blush on, contour, and lipstick. But when I tried to apply the green eye shadow, turns out that it's not thick enough to pop out. So then I removed it and re-applied it with a yellow base color this time (Rainbow Chic Palette by PAC; a local Indonesia brand). What you see is the best I can pull out from that eye shadow. Sigh.

JESSIE J INSPIRED LOOK: A NEW YEAR GREETING!

The talent, Nay - which is also my best friend, was so excited about this shoot and she was all like "I WANT JESSIE J'S MAKE UP!!". As we all know, Jessie J has an edgy look / make up and is short haired just like Nay. I decided why not give it a try. I personally love her make up, always focusing on the eye, thin blush, and bold lipstick: red, purple, black, ice, you name it - Jessie J rocks it.

As for this look, I was inspired by Jessie J's video clip "Perfect". But instead of using brown for the corner of the eye and else, I used black instead for a bolder look. Shape your cat eye perfectly using liquid liner, and pencil liner for your waterline and below. Use a very natural blushers for this application, in this pic I used a little bit too much, you might want to reduce the amount of the blushers. Don't forget your sexy & bold lip color to rock this look.

So sorry it took me forever to update. But anyways.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! xoxo!

NYX Beauty To Go Palette : application for this look

HOW TO ROCK THIS APPLICATION
Actually I think this make up application suits a pool party theme. Blue for the water, and redish purple to make your eyes pop more in the crowd, but focus more on the blue! Put on your bathing suit, and jump! Don't forget to use water resistant mascara and eye liner if you don't want to look like a zombie after you jumped! Agh you have no idea how much I miss pool parties. If you don't have any pool parties to attend to but you still wanna rock this make up application, you can see the fashion reference above. If it still not satisfy you, try to rock this look ith your boho clothes, or if you want to make this look a little elegant, combine them with neutral solid colored dress. I suggest grey.

KICK-ASS SATURDAY FUN SHOOT!

I was doing a photo shoot for my make up portfolio with my girlfriends as the talent. We started at 12 in the afternoon and thought it can be done in three hours, but instead we finished them in 5. It was very tiring but it doesn't really matter cos we all had some fun and it all pays off in the end. In this photo shoot, I did 5 different make up applications: Barbie Loves Mac application, Jessie J inspired look, Khloe Kardashian inspired look, and two of my own creation's make up application but unfortunately I don't have the name for them. I'll think about it later.

I will post the pictures AND the tutorial on how to do the look, what was the products I use, and blah blah, one by one - each look will be in a different posting. But in the meantime, here are some teasers for you.

TWICE THE PRICE: NYX FACE BASE OVERVIEW.

I am trying out a new HD foundation, grinding powder and concealer, by NYX this time. I don't know why, but I'm a big fan of NYX. This foundation is photo ready, means that it is perfect for photo shoot. Not as well blended as Make Up Forever, but it's good enough for me. NYX products get along with my skin pretty well.

I planned to do my make up shopping online, because I know it is way cheaper than buying stuff in the store. But since I have a photo shoot to do this Saturday, which is in 2 days, and I've been very busy lately with work and stuff, so I decided to just go to the store while I can, which is exactly tonight before I wrote this. Surprisingly, the price in a NYX booth in Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall, in Seibu Department Store to be exact, is way more expensive than the price in NYX website. If you go to www.nyxcosmetics.com, you will find this product for only $15.00, instead, I paid $32.00 for a foundation, $36.00 for NYX HD Studio Grinding Powder that suppose to be only $25.00 and a small jar of concealer for $11.
Bottom line, this is my suggestion, if you can do the shopping ONLINE, then do it. Because you're going to spend more money buying it in the stores. I spent almost $100.00 for 3 items at NYX and that doesn't seem right cos NYX suppose to be pretty affordable. I kind of understand why it was more expensive at Seibu, probably because they are paying rent for the spot, or might be something else. But heck, if you're on a budget like I am, you might wanna do the online.

Luckily, I spent a fewer money on Bobbi Brown 15pcs brush kit, and yes I bought it online. Gotta love these brushes. The texture is really soft and it blends away your whatever really really nice. I highly recommend Bobbi Brown make up brushes for both the beginners and professionals.

ROMANTIC DINNER MAKE UP LOOK.

Yea I think this look is perfect for a romantic evening with your love ones. The touch of romantic pink and dark purple represents the love you're feeling. Put a white eye liner on your waterline so your eyes will appear bigger and happy.
